Peraton is seeking an cyber security analyst to support the United States Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) in Colorado Springs, Co..

What you’ll do…

  • You will establish and continuously improve a process to systematically analyze events, notify critical personnel, conduct mission operation impact assessments, report incidents, recommend countermeasures and track their effectiveness
  • You will develop effective processes for planning, briefing, executing, and debriefing cybersecurity operations
  • You will ensure the defensive cyberspace operations (DCO) team complies with all applicable tactical, operational, and strategic cybersecurity and space operations directives
  • You will provide recommendations to improve cyber-attack mitigation, threat intelligence sharing, vulnerability analysis and management, risk responses, and courses of actions in response to cybersecurity threats and activities
  • You will analyze and report on cybersecurity service performance
  • You will support short and mid-term (days to weeks) customer deployments to geographically separated duty locations
  • You will support 24/7 shift operations by working one of three available shift schedules: Day (0630-1630), swing (1430-0030), or mid (1030-0830)

You’d be a great fit if you have…

  • An Active Secret clearance
  • A CISSP or other DOD 8570 IAT Level III Baseline Certification (CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, or GCIH)
  • A Splunk Power User (or ability to earn within six months of hire) Certification
  • A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) (or ability to earn within six months of hire) Certification
  • 3+ years of telecommunications, networking, system administration, cybersecurity, or military operations experience

It’d be even better if you have…

  • 1-3 years of experience with Splunk or other SIEM tools
  • 3-5 years of networking or system administration experience (Windows or Linux server)
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Air Force cybersecurity or space operations
  • Post-secondary education (associate’s or bachelor’s degree) or military-equivalent training in system administration, networking, computer science, or cybersecurity
  • Ability to gain a Top Secret (SCI) clearance
