Responsibilities

Join Our Team as an Autodissemination Support Systems Engineer at Peraton

Peraton is seeking a skilled Autodissemination Support Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. In this full-time role, you will contribute to one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community, providing 1880 hours of support annually at a customer location.

 

As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing the Cryptologic Dissemination Review process. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the adjudication of auto-dissemination proposals. This involves understanding and learning data flows between systems and mastering how data is transformed, checked, and manipulated to assist dissemination adjudicators. Your efforts will ensure that the necessary information and artifacts are available to verify that described controls and interfaces meet policy, oversight, compliance requirements, and specific mandates from the adjudicating body.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Flow Management: Understand and learn the data flows between systems, and how data is transformed, checked, and manipulated.
  • Policy Compliance: Compile and review dissemination obligations stemming from law, policy opinions, and prior adjudications.
  • Process Definition: Assist the client in defining efficient processes for determining whether proposals are prohibited, allowed, or subject to adjudication.
  • Artifact Creation: Develop artifacts to help requestors and adjudicators understand and perform their duties relative to the defined process.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 20 years of systems engineering experience.  A master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: High School Diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Familiarity with intelligence community law and policy protecting U.S. persons.
  • Process engineering and/or Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Development experience.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Familiarity with U.S. or international privacy and civil liberties law and policy.
  • Operational SIGINT experience (i.e. CNO, NCSC and Analytics experience).
  • Experience as a SIGINT analyst/reporter/auditor.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
  • Flexible/easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment.
  • Should be comfortable guiding people without having influence over them.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
