Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Automation Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support our team of developers building the next generation of customer engagement systems for federal service agencies.
This position is required to be local to the Colorado Springs Area.
This is a hybrid role and requires to be onsite in the Colorado Springs office 4 times per month.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities
- Develops automated test scripts to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements
- Work closely with developers, shared services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software
- Work with team members to drive test automation techniques
- Develop using Java and execute automated tests on both Web Front end and microservice architecture
- Run test validations at various levels including DB validation, rules validation, logging validation, reporting validations, and UI validation
- Assist with Scrum Team estimation of stories and sizing of effort to include the representation of the test automation and engagement with Continuous Integration (CI) required
- Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations’ Agile project lifecycle
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS with 2 years of relevant work experience; or associate's degree 4 years'of experience; or HS diploma and 6 years of work experience
- Candidate must have minimum 2 years of hands-on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C#)
- Previous experience required with the following: Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD); Behavior Driven Development (Cucumber); Java (including frameworks such as Spring and Springboot); and open-source automation tools such as Selenium/Serenity/Cucumber
- Experience with Serenity and/or Cucumber
- Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases
- Experience with REST/SOAP webservices and APIs
- Experience with SQL
- U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands on experience in Open Source Automated Test Frameworks (e.g. Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber)
- Experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
- Prior experience with front-end development including JavaScript frameworks
- Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program
- Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework
- Active Secret Level Security Clearance preferred
Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
