Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a highly motivated Capture Director – Intel / Maryland Procurement Office (MPO) - with demonstrated success in capturing new business and recompete opportunities in this primary market. As a member in our Growth Organization and working in support of Peraton’s Cyber Mission Sector, you will provide leadership, critical thought, and a strategic mindset to winning large-scale capture opportunities. You will partner with business development, program management teams, solution architects, and functional leadership to develop winning strategies, solutions, and proposals. Success in this role is ultimately measured by meeting and exceeding acquisition and financial targets aligned to company goals.
*Hybrid position - Must be local to the Annapolis Junction area and travel as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of the capture process including the development and execution of winning strategies for opportunities >$100M and highly visible Corporate and Sector priority bids.
- Ability to effectively diagnose client needs, propose and close solutions that have measurable and positive business impact.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of the current developments in the government / intelligence marketplace to assess the position of company and determines how to improve it relative to Pwin.
- Ensure the development of a winning offer and solution sets (e.g., technical/management, price-to-win, schedule, past performance).
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the bid, and keep leadership advised when new bid risks are encountered, or mitigation plans fail to achieve desired results.
- Manage communications and relationships with partners and subcontractors, coordinating customer communications and relationships with Business Development.
- Lead teams to develop and deliver various professional services solutions to include whitepapers, demonstrations, proposals, and other internally developed products used to identify, qualify, and capture new business.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree with 16 years (MS + 14, PhD +10) industry background with specific experience in leading complex, enveloping capture strategies within the MPO.
- Demonstrated experience successfully working all areas of the capture lifecycle, milestones, and processes. Such activities include customer engagement, analysis, and relationship development, industry engagement and competitive analysis, capture plan development, win strategy execution, team development, marketing campaign leadership and gap analysis and solution advancement.
- Demonstrated successful experience leading large-scale ($100M+) bids.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex capture/proposal teams to achieve high performance standards.
- Demonstrated understanding of pricing strategies, bid models, BOEs, and staffing plan development.
- Excellent business acumen; strong understanding of Federal procurement, contracting, and financial rules and regulations.
- Strong analytical as well as verbal and written communication skills
- Proven interpersonal skills to lead in a matrixed environment and national security marketplace.
- Must be local to the Annapolis Junction, MD area
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph; MPO cleared.
Desired
- Direct experience working with the MPO intelligence customer, preferably in the cyber mission space.
- Familiarity / working relationship with MPO Small Businesses
- Extremely high level of communication skills to present, inform, and persuade high level internal stakeholders to pursue/bid an opportunity and justify resources.
- Demonstrated capacity to stay on top of current trends, issues, and technologies in mission areas through participation in industry groups and conferences.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work other non-MPO opportunities if required.
Target Salary Range
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
