Peraton is seeking a CNO Firmware Developer with hard drive firmware development experience to support a critical mission of consequence within our Cyber Mission Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, MD.  In this position you will perform a combination of software design, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research; Develop software capabilities taking into account the underlying hardware on which they run; and optimize algorithms and software implementations in order to meet requirements such as binary size, utilization, and performance:

• Perform Agile development, accurately estimating the time to complete tasks;
• Respond to time-sensitive operational requirements;
• Understand how malware is detected by personal security products and/or network monitoring and methods to evade such detection;
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing of software products (e.g. unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests);
• Develop software implants that have network communications and the ability to persist across reboots;
• Document software designs, explain performance tradeoffs made, and decompose high-level designs into specific software development tasks;
• Develop, find flaws in, and modify complex algorithms that span multiple layers of abstraction;
• Recommend new technologies and processes to achieve assigned goals. 

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline
• Five (5) years of software engineering / reverse engineering / vulnerability research experience
• Two (2) years’ experience in Computer Network Operations to include Computer Network Exploitation (CNE), Computer Network Attack (CNA or computer security experience on Windows, UNIX, or Mobile platforms
• Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

• Firmware - Hard Drive focused – development experience
• Reverse Engineering experience
• ARM Assembly development experience
• C programming experience
• BIOS or UEFI experience
