Program Overview
Delivers configurable, scalable, and adaptable cybersecurity solutions to meet the evolving needs of the warfighting customer. This program supports a range of key roles, including specialists in information security, cyber engineering, penetration testing, and Navy validation, all working together to enhance the security and resilience of naval systems and installations.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking qualified individuals to join our team as our Cyber Systems Administrator, Lead to provide engineering support for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. This includes conducting Agile software engineering in a Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) environment, performing Cloud architectural design, operation, and administration functions, and cyber security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) support. Also included are rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs. 

 

This is an on-site position at Dahlgren, Virginia. Mon-Fri Day hours (no remote or hybrid)

 

As our Cyber Systems Administrator, Lead you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide Windows and VMware System Administration (Windows Server, Active Directory,
    Group Policy, DNS, VMware, ESXi, vCenter)
  • Install, configuring, and maintaining Windows server environments, including
    Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Manage and supportVMware environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter,
    and related components.
  • Leverage expertise with regular system monitoring and verifying the integrity and
    availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades, and upgrading administrative tools and utilities.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely
    manner.
  • Create and maintaining documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and responding to emergency outages.
Qualifications
  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD.
    • Four years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum certification as 541 at the Basic level per DOD 8140.01, or successor IAT Level II Certification (i.e. GFACT or GISF or Cloud+ or GCED or PenTest+ or Security+ or GSEC or CySA+ or CBROPS or CFR or FITSP-O or GCIA or GDSA or GICSP or GCFA)
  • Hands on experience with Windows and VMware System Administration (Windows Server, Active Directory,
    Group Policy, DNS, VMware, ESXi, vCenter)
  • Ability to travel up 25%
  • Expertise with networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Expertise with Cisco devices and network configurations.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Valid/current Passport
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
