Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Cyber Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Cyber Systems Engineer on our team you will support the Program Management Office (PMO) overseeing a large multi-organizational software development project. You will provide general systems engineering support including requirements definition, documentation, and integration support in the oversight of this ongoing development effort as well as providing support to the testing team validating the development work.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 15 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s or PhD Degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: A High School Diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Position requires that the candidates last polygraph is <7 years old
  • Experience configuring and developing tests for automated testing in a DevOps platform and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline  

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Experience in applying systems engineering and integration support to a large Agile/DevOps environment.
  • Knowledge of SE Best practices and innovative approaches to applying those practices in a fast-paced ongoing software development environment.
  • Test automation and scripting skills (testlink would be a bonus)
  • Investigate, prevent, assess, and mitigate threats to information systems, infrastructures and information
  • Identify and select testing products, tools, services, and components
  • Validate testing and quality assurance IT systems
  • Perform high level testing of system & component performance & interface requirements
  • Plan, document, & execute developmental & operational testing activities
  • Supporting creation or modification of test documentation to include test and evaluation master plans (TEMPs), test plans and procedures, & test reports
  • Supporting test readiness review (TRR) presentations and emerging results briefings
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on the functionality, applicability, and supportability of technical test products/deliverables
  • Solid application of SE throughout the lifecycle of a development effort.
  • Experience with GitLab
  • Knowledge and experience with containerization and DevOps platforms (Kubernetes preferred)

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
