Responsibilities

The Peraton facility located in Princess Anne, MD is actively seeking an Electrical Engineering to support the Engineering team delivering world class solutions to a variety of DOD institutions.  This position directly reports to the Princess Anne Electrical Engineering Supervisor.  The Electrical Engineering group’s primary responsibilities involve the design, development, integration, and operational support of electrical components, and ground support equipment directly related to missiles supporting a variety of DoD programs.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support various aspects of the design, assembly, integration, test, and launch of variety of sounding rockets and missiles  to deliver mission success to DOD programs
  • Performing research, design, and development in such areas as power conditioning electronics, system designs, payload circuit designs, and other general electrical engineering design functions.
  • Coordinate and lead Electrical Technicians to perform functions supporting activities such as, manufacture, integration, test, checkout, operation, and maintenance of complex electronic flight, ground testing, and launch systems
  • Reviewing, updating, and maintaining test procedures utilized during manufacturing and launch pad operations for correctness and completeness against mission requirements, missile and launch vehicle configuration, and component changes and modifications
  • Troubleshooting, documenting and dispositioning flight and test equipment hardware and software discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions.
  • Generate design schematics preferably with experience using OrCad.
  • Execute specific engineering assignments under the direction and guidance of Electrical Engineer Supervisor.
  • Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks without direct supervision
  • The ability to receive and maintain a Secret Clearance is required for this position.
  • 20% travel required.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with strong design and analysis skills; good communication, documentation, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • A minimum of zero to two years of related experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, quick learner, but willing to seek advice from peers when necessary; working knowledge of common design and analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of sub orbital vehicles, vehicle dynamics and corresponding subsystems.

 

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
