Responsibilities
As the Facility Security Officer (FSO) you will be responsible for managing the Facility Clearance (FCL) for a cage code with multiple programs/sites. If you have knowledge in managing classified contracts from multiple government agencies; have a team-oriented style and enjoy collaborating with a great security team - this is the job for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, and work with the Security team performing the following actions:
- Verify security clearance status for visitors and potential new employees, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Oversee security clearance process for employees; process personnel, facility clearance information, periodic reinvestigations, manage the Defense Information Security System (DISS) database, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) database, Security Information Management System (SIMS), National Industrial Security System (NISS) and related files.
- Develop and provide security-related briefings and training required by 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and client.
- Develop and provide travel briefings in accordance with government requirements.
- Track, initiate and notify personnel of background reinvestigations and/or continuous evaluation requirements.
- Prepare and report security relevant information as directed by the client.
- Manage/maintain facility clearance documents (SF-328, DD 441 and DD441-1).
- Ensure the proper preparation and review of draft/original/revised DD254s.
- Track status of contracts and provide updates to the security manager.
- Maintain physical security for Proprietary, Restricted and Closed Areas.
- Lead self-inspections and DCSA assessments of programs.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree 2+ years, or HS and 6+ years of equivalent experience, to include 2+ years of security office administration and facility security experience.
- Additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 2+ years of experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), SEAD, and OPSEC principles.
- Experience in working with the Department of Defense policies and 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- Active secret security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- DCSA CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities certificate
- Prior SCI and/or SAP security experience
- Polygraph
- Self-driven and results oriented, capable of effectively working multiples tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Experience as an FSO or AFSO
- Proficient with DISS, NBIS, NISS and SIMS
Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
