Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for an Integration Engineer, in Alexandria, VA, responsible for planning, integrating, and documenting installations of voice and video systems supporting government Command and Control (C2) conference rooms and video-teleconferencing endpoints. 

 

In this role the Integration Engineer will complete projects in varying nature from the implementation of single network devices and to complex high-definition video conference rooms and be responsible for the systems drawing packages. 

 

Peraton has served as the prime contractor for the network contract since its inception in 1984. We provide executive-level government leaders reliable security voice, video, and fax communications anytime, anywhere, in any environment for day-today crisis management. We provide a secure, worldwide, high-performance communications network comprised of real-time interactive applications operating over a dedicated IP backbone with secure services for complex national and worldwide executive-level communications. Peraton provides the O&M of the network infrastructure and its components. We provide integration for development of hardware and software solutions, and task support for the delivery of system, network, software, and security solutions.

 

The Integration Engineer is responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Works directly with the customer and engineering team in deriving requirements for system engineering designs.
  • Creates system level drawings, cable lists, and wiring diagrams to support projects.
  • Reviews a consolidated list of materials for correct specifications.
  • Receives, inspects, inventories, and tracks materials.
  • Builds system to include rack and stack, cable assembly, and cable wiring.
  • Coordinates with the test team and quality assurance to certify the system.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and completes field installations.

Travel: 

  • Candidate will be required to travel to local and CONUS/OCONUS sites
  • Candidate will be required to drive in the DMV area and must have a valid driver’s license
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • An active/current TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and five (5) years of related experience or a commensurate combination of education, training and experience, is required; Master’s degree and three (3) years of relevant experience; PhD with zero (0) years of experience. Relevant experience in the above-cited duties may be substituted in lieu of a completed higher education degree.
  • At least three (3) years of experience with creating Visio drawings packages.
  • At least two (2) years of experience with using 2D AutoCAD drawings.
  • At least three (3) years of experience building network, audio, and video cables.
  • At least two (2) years of experience with system integration of video conference room systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to local and CONUS/OCONUS sites.
  • Willingness and ability to drive in the DMV area. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to generate documentation that describes concepts of operation, interface control, and security measures.
  • Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer.
  • Familiar with the handling of COMSEC devices.
  • Certified Technical Specialist.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
