Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an IT Service Desk Technician for our USFk program supporting the 8th Army. 

 

Location: Pyeongtaek, South Korea. 

  • We support the "Eighth Army which is America's Pacific Guardians of Freedom." Our team supports C4I functions for the Eighth Army Headquarters and seven Major Subordinate Commands to include tactical communications for multiple theater-level exercises and training events. Eighth Army today stands ready to defend our national interests and those of our allies whenever called upon.

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Provide IT Service Desk Support to 8th Army Headquarters and Major Subordinate Commands.
  • Respond to helpdesk calls and trouble tickets.
  • Track and document progress and status via ticketing system.
  • Install software/hardware, troubleshoot technical issues for computers, printers, networks, VoIP, and other IoT.
  • Create and manage user system/network accounts.
  • Review and validate user training for compliance.
  • Provision email and other service accounts within the Microsoft O365 virtual environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma and 5 years work experience. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent work experience performing Service Desk support tasks.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Current Security+ CE certification.
  • Must be able to speak/write both the English and Korean language.
  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Active Secret Level Security Clearance.

Preferred: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
