Responsibilities

We're currently seeking a seasoned Linux Systems Administrator for our National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit. This role is vital in supporting the SITE III JIOC contract, focusing on the orchestration, sustainment, and advancement of a suite of applications critical for Collection Management, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and intelligence operations. These applications are crucial for intelligence analysts, operations, and collection managers across Combatant Commands, ensuring the seamless collection, correlation, and dissemination of Joint Intelligence Operations (JIOC) data.

 

The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, and more, ensuring reliability, resiliency, and the continuous improvement of our systems through best practices in architecture design, data science, cloud services, DevSecOps, and platform integration.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems in collaboration with network engineers.
  • Monitor and manage system resources to maintain efficiency.
  • Perform security administration tasks, including creating user profiles and managing accounts.
  • Offer Tier 3 support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Manage operating system configurations, system documentation, performance tuning, software installations, system hardening, and storage allocation.
  • Evaluate vendor products and recommend hardware and software purchases, coordinating installation and ensuring effective backup and recovery strategies.
  • Develop and enforce policies and standards for computing resource allocation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in an area applicable to the position with 10+ years of relevant experience. Additional 4 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must have a minimum TS clearance and willing to upgrade to a TS/SCI and sit for and pass a polygraph - Contract requires TS/SCI with polygraph to start.
  • A minimum 5 year of experience with systems administration, including Linux or CentOS
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action
  • Experience maintaining applications built on a PostgreSQL or Oracle database
  • Experience writing scripts to monitor system services, resources, data mine logs, etc.
  • Experience writing SQL and PL/SQL to generate system data reports, modify data as necessary, etc.
  • Experience with Keytool and OpenSSL
  • Experience maintaining systems in cloud environments
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Group
  • Experience with ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) and STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) compliance remediation or experience with equivalent security requirements and tools
  • Familiarity w/troubleshooting Java and Oracle applications
  • DoD 8570 Compliant holding current IAT level II baseline certification (Security+ CE, GICSP, SSCP, etc.)

  • Current polygraph
  • Linux+ certification
  • Current RHCSA/RHCE certification
  • VMware Certified Professional
  • Knowledge of SQL Servers
  • Familiarity with RMF (Risk Management Framework)
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practioner

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
