Responsibilities
Peraton seeks a Mid-level Media Research & Assessments Analyst to support tracking information on global events deemed as Army significant incidents (Critical Information). Location: Pentagon, Washington, DC.
- For this opening, the work schedule includes weekend shift periods, 0600-1800 on Saturday/Sunday
Tasks include:
- Conduct near-real-time reporting and data analysis pulled from publicly available information (PAI) data.
- Expedite Public Affairs guidance using both corporate and Army-developed templates and analytics
- Leverage and use various tools for media monitoring
- Analyze and report social media data to the AOC watch officer/leadership so they are fully informed on global events relevant to Army equitities. Will analyze actual and predictable, interacting, operational activities to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision-making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques.
- Perform data analytics pulling from various social listening platforms.
- Devise modeling and measuring techniques to investigate complex issues and solve problems.Provide operations research analysis support for intelligence, cyberspace operations, contingency operations, and operational-level planning, joint and multilateral training exercises, and strategic engagement policy.
- Assist in the evaluation of data assessment strategies: sampling, statistical analysis, evaluation, flow processing, and management assessment strategies.
Qualifications
Required
- BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7 (Will consider HS+14 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education)
- Background includes quantitative experience and/or education (e.g., mathematics, statistics, etc.).
- Requires an understanding of cyberspace doctrine, policies, operations, and organizations
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- For this opening, the work schedule includes weekend shift periods, 0600-1800 on Saturday/Sunday
- Experienced with model development and testing as well as gathering, relating, and identifying data with variables in models.
- Experience developing reports noting various alternatives and success probability when there is no single solution.
- Must be able to analyze actual and predictable, interacting, operational activities to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision-making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques.
Preferred: Familiarity with doctrinal Army Information Operations activities.
Work location is in the Pentagon (in the AOC)
Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
