Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in automated testing to join our team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through the development and execution of automated test scripts.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in the agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Conduct 508 compliance testing to ensure our applications meet accessibility standards.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using issue tracking systems.
- Perform regression testing to validate software changes and ensure existing functionality is not compromised.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automated testing.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools, such as PyTest, Selenium, or similar.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in an agile team.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Knowledge of 508 compliance testing and accessibility standards.
- Proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases and test scripts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Active Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Python programming language.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of API testing and related tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
- Understanding of database concepts and SQL.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
