Responsibilities

The Cloud Service Owner Lead will establish and operate a services support program that provides systems administration, maintenance, computer security, and support for physical servers, virtual servers, storage, and containerized applications. He/she will operate, maintain, and defend these resources to meet the operational needs of the USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces. The Cloud Service Owner Lead will engineer, install, configure, maintain, operate, defend, troubleshoot, and repair web/portal servers and systems to help maintain hybrid cloud capabilities, including support for the underlying web/portal server technology.

 

The Cloud Service Owner Lead must be self-motivated and will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally. The Cloud Service Owner Lead must have good management and communication skills to interact and coordinate effectively with both internal and external executive leadership teams. It should also be known that this position will be critical to innovation.

 

Typical Responsibilities include:
Experience in cloud infrastructures that will utilize several core IT technologies such as, but limited to, such as servers, storage, databases, and web/portal servers’ containerization platforms, and containerized applications when implemented. Manage and oversee the planning, deployment, configuration, operations, maintenance as well as defending, troubleshooting, and repairing the Hybrid-Cloud Strategic to Edge Infrastructure in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment.

 

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS 12-15, MS 10-12, PhD 7-10 years of experience.  Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must possess a TS clearance with eligibility for SCI
  • Must possess certifications in one or multiple Cloud Service Provider umbrellas:
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) / Azure (MicroSoft) / Other
  • Must possess five (5) years of experience managing IT professionals
  • Must possess experience with site-specific logistics and technical challenges in a dynamic functional, management, and technical environment
  • Must possess experience working on a global-based, enterprise-wide project communicating with local and long-distance Government personnel
  • Must Possess experience from previous roles in Enterprise Solutioning to include servers, storage, databases, and web/portal servers
  • Must possess experience evangelizing Cloud to customers and leadership

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

• Possess experience with IT Service Delivery using an ITIL/ITSM framework similar in size, scope, and complexity to the requirements of this TO.
• Experience (assigned or working with) the SOF community.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
