Peraton has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Computer Network Defense (CND) Service Owner Lead to provide contractor management, direction, administration, and leadership of the execution of their respective site’s requirements for the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) in support of United States (U.S.) Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The CND Service Owner Lead will be responsible for assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervising ongoing SITEC 3 EOM technical efforts, coordinating with the USSOCOM TPOC, and managing the overall site’s performance.
The CND Service Owner Lead needs to be self-motivated and required to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally. The CND Service Owner Lead must have good management and communications skills to interact and coordinate effectively interfacing with both internal and external executive leadership team. The CND Service Owner Lead is responsible managing technical issues and business processes; managing and responding to Government issues, concerns, and comments; and alerting the Government proactively to potential contractual or programmatic and resource limitations issues. The CND Service Owner Lead will be the main interface between the USSOCOM end customers, the SITEC 3 EOM contractor, component Deputy Program Managers, and the component J6 management staff and provide input into the management activities within their functional area. The CND Service Owner Lead will manage the Contractor and subcontractor staff, ensure staff development and mentor as applicable as well as work with third-party vendors applicable to their site as needed. The CND Service Owner Lead will manage teams of contract support at multiple locations. The CND Service Owner Lead is required to organize, direct, and manage all support functions involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks. Must be able to review task plans and deliverable items, manage schedules in line with financial budget. The CND Service Owner Lead will ensure all personnel in his/her responsibility receive adequate guidance and direction for performing their daily tasks and will be responsible for developing/presenting briefings, preparing correspondence, and preparing project status reports as required.
Typical Responsibilities include:
Oversees personnel supporting DCO services and supervise system and network administrators and support the Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) to protect, monitor, analyze, detect, and respond to cyber incidents. Ensures staff adhere to applicable Government regulations, policies, procedures, governance, and guidance. Utilizes current intelligence, DCO, and cybersecurity trends; Maintains appropriate situational awareness; and utilize management tools to detect trends, isolate current and future attacks, and identify anomalies or misconfigurations for further investigation in coordination with the Government. Maintains situational awareness of DCO sensors and tools, provide notification of sensor and tool outages, and track and report DCO performance and capability.
Oversees personnel supporting DCO services, supervises system and network administrators, and support the CSSP and EOC work roles to employ defensive measures and identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within the network. Leverages information collected from a variety of sources to protect information, information systems, and networks from threats.
Oversees staff who assist the Government in the performance of DCO and defensive cyberspace operations fusion activities to identify complex threats, recommend remediation activities for those threats, and develop a fused DCO picture via the fusion of DCO data sources and information from external departments and agencies. Supervises staff who supports the DCO and defensive cyberspace operations fusion activities.
