Peraton has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Portal Service Owner Lead to provide contractor management, direction, administration, and leadership of the execution of their respective site’s requirements for the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) in support of United States (U.S.) Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The Portal Service Owner Lead will be responsible for assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervising ongoing SITEC 3 EOM technical efforts, coordinating with the USSOCOM TPOC, and managing the overall site’s performance.
The Portal Service Owner Lead needs to be self-motivated and required to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally. The candidate must have good management and communications skills to interact and coordinate effectively interfacing with both internal and external executive leadership team. The Portal Service Owner Lead will be responsible for the efficiency of the Portal, including managing technical issues and business processes; managing and responding to Government issues, concerns, and comments; and alerting the Government proactively to potential contractual or programmatic and resource limitations issues. The Portal Service Owner Lead will be the main interface between the USSOCOM end customers, the SITEC 3 EOM contractor, component Deputy Program Managers, and the component J6 management staff and provide input into the management activities within their functional area. The Portal Service Owner Lead will manage the Contractor and subcontractor staff, ensure staff development and mentor as applicable as well as work with third-party vendors applicable to their site as needed. The Portal Service Owner Lead will manage teams of contract support at multiple locations. The Portal Service Owner Lead is required to organize, direct, and manage all support functions applicable to the Candidate, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks. Must be able to review task plans and deliverable items, manage schedules in line with financial budget. The Portal Service Owner Lead will ensure all personnel in his/her responsibility receive adequate guidance and direction for performing their daily tasks and will be responsible for developing/presenting briefings, preparing correspondence, and preparing project status reports as required.
Typical Responsibilities include:
Experience in engineering, installing, configuring, maintaining, operating, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing web/portal services. Experience in planning, engineering, installing, configuring, maintaining, operating, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing web/portal servers and systems to maintain hybrid cloud capabilities. Manage and oversee support for underlying web/portal server technology. Manage the development and integrating of new content, code, and data sources. The Portal will be a central location for global reach in the SIE for reach back to important mission related data. This will create a high visibility within USSSOCOM on all resources that are used within the Portal and uptime becomes essential 24/7 for down range as well as HQ purposes. The proactive approach to capacity planning and getting ahead of any severity issues will be essential to the success of this role. Collaborative teaming across network, applications and servers will be equally essential to ensure the Portal stays online.
