Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our IC customer onsite in Fort Meade, Maryland.
- Conducts research in design, development, testing and utilization of electronic data processing software.
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
- Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Requires a minimum of 20 years experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 18 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 14 years with Ph.D.
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. Four years of additional software development experience may be substituted for degree.
- Requires an active TS/SCI with Poly level clearance.
- Requires software development experience
- Requires coding experience with Java/C++
- Application development experience
- Full life cycle testing experience (Unit, Integration, and/or Functional)
- Willingness to learn new languages as mission requires.
PREFERRED:
- Familiarity with Git - source code control.
- Experience with Encryption and key management.
- Basic OS administration experience with Windows, Android, Linux, and/or Mac
- Experience with Python, Angular, Kotlin, C#, Typescript/Javascript
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile development
- Experienced with Mobile Development iOS/Android
- Web development

Target Salary Range
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
