Peraton is seeking Summer 2024 Agile Process Interns in support of our Internal Research & Development (IRAD) program which will likely be conducted in our Herndon, VA or Blacksburg, VA office locations or remote. 

Join our Technology and Engineering Software Delivery Center and support the execution of research projects in areas such as communications, space, cybersecurity, defense, health, and mobile. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment with our full-time staff, allowing you to grow your skills and your career while building experience in a variety of different projects and domains. You’ll participate with our Program Management Office in the administration of a large research portfolio by helping to manage the SAFe Agile development process. You’ll supporting multiple projects in their daily standup meetings, sprint reviews, and release planning. You’ll also get the chance to obtain certifications in areas that will enhance your skills, such as SAFe Agile and Amazon Web Services.

Summer internships are mostly remote, work-from-home positions, but there will be opportunities for in-office experiences for interns residing in Northern VA or Southwestern VA. We ask that each intern be available to work the duration of the ten weeks (June to August) and commit to working a minimum of 35-40 hours per week. This program is geared toward technical college students, actively enrolled at a four-year university, who will be rising into their junior or senior years. However, strong underclassmen may be considered if they have declared their major and have completed qualified coursework.

Required Qualifications:

• HS diploma and some advanced level training.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Have completed progress toward a bachelor’s degree in IT, management, engineering, or a related field.
• Education in typical business processes for managing projects.
• Hands on experience with business applications, such as Microsoft products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts.
• Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• 3.0 and above GPA.
• Exposure to Agile software development processes.
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments.
