Responsibilities

Position Description: The System architect engineer designs and develops solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Bachelor or Higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar relevant field. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on recommended courses of action, trade studies, architecture and design, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the AIMSS mission.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Provides expert engineering and/or scientific solutions for highly complex technical software applications.
  • Provides systems architecture design services on all aspects of networks, software architectures, software interfaces, and data flow architectures for complex software applications.
  • Designs, develops, and implements complex hardware, software and database applications or advanced techniques in investigating solutions to system requirements and problems.
  • Develops, plans, coordinates and integrates systems-related requirements to support operational needs.
  • Develops and coordinates contract deliverables and reports.
  • Prepares management plans and reports. Leads team members in contract deliverables, task order reviews, and briefings and presentations.
  • Has capability and skills to lead software applications that are required to support Continuous Delivery pipelines, such as Continuous Exploration, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Release Management.
  • Has experience and skills to establish project overall architecture (networks, development environment, and release environment).
  • Has Skills in collaborating with Product Owners in a DoD environment.

 

 

Qualifications

 

HS 16+ years of experience, Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, computer science, or system engineering and 12+ years of experience, 10+ years with MS/MA, 7+ years with Ph.D.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

The candidate must have a strong understanding of data Center, and applications used to store, retrieve and secure MDA sensitive data. 

 

The candidate must:

  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
  • Be a US citizen
  • Be able to work from the customer facility on a regular basis unless customer approved to work outside the local area
  • Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above

 

Other Qualifications:

An additional plus is experience with enterprise IT solutions, cloud migration, DevSecOps, agile software development and application design, integration, testing and deployment.

 

Security Requirements:

Ability to obtain Interim Secret Clearance.  Active Secret Clearance preferred.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
