Program Overview
Peraton provides critical support to the customer through services including developing and maintaining IT systems, enhancing data analytics, improving operational efficiencies, and supporting mission-critical applications used for immigration enforcement, investigation, and detention management. The goal is to ensure the customer's technological infrastructure is reliable, secure, and capable of supporting its law enforcement and public safety missions.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Systems Administrator to become part of Peraton’s Citizens Security & Public Services, Department of Homeland Security team in our remote team.  

 

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), and Informatica PowerCenter/IICS environments. This role involves deploying patches, software upgrades, security mitigations, and code/RPD deployments, as well as working with vendors to resolve security vulnerabilities.

Day to Day Work and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain OBIEE, OAS, and Informatica PowerCenter/IICS environments.
  • Perform deployment automation for:
    • Quarterly patches
    • Software upgrades
    • Security mitigations
    • Code deployments
  • Collaborate with vendors to review and resolve security vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to OBIEE, OAS, and Informatica.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for:
    • System configurations
    • Processes
    • Procedures
  • Provide support for end-users and assist with training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or Associates degree and 7 years of experience or a Masters degree and 3 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on knowledge sharing and cross-training to ensure team efficiency.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BI Administrator supporting Oracle OBIEE and/or Informatica IICS/PowerCenter.

  • Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of database management systems, including Oracle DB and Postgres.

  • Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle OBIEE/OAS 12c, Postgres & Oracle databases
  • Experience in working on AWS Cloud environment
  • Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA and Agile methodology

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
