Program Overview
Engineering modernization and integration practices to include Digital Engineering and Agile at Scale for all of NGA, NSG, and ASG.
About The Role

Junior Systems Engineers apply a multidisciplinary approach to requirements engineering, solutions development, scheduling, reliability, integration, testing, and analysis. They support the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG), and federal agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT delivery.

 

Key Duties

  • Support Engineering Efforts: Assist mid-level engineers and government stakeholders in requirements engineering, solutions development, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, integration, testing, and analysis for NSG, ASG, and federal agencies.
  • Requirements & Systems Analysis: Contribute to planning, traceability of user requirements and architectures, and process improvements, including cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling constraints.
  • Solution Development: Assist in designing solutions based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.
  • Mission & Customer Needs Translation: Support the capture and translation of mission and customer needs into system requirements and capability solutions.
  • Systems Integration: Aid in requirement allocation, system architecture analysis, and program execution.
  • Technical Assessments: Assist in conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.
  • Strategic & Risk Management: Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk assessment, and interface design.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field (e.g., engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, computer science, IT, MIS) or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 0 to 6 years of systems engineering experience in government or industry.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and languages.
  • Understanding of Software Development Frameworks.
  • Experience or knowledge in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT).
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
