Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking Entry-level Systems Engineers in our Chantilly, VA and Springfield, VA locations who will support a wide range of programmatic engineering and integration disciplines for an intelligence community customer. All positions center on engineering support to the design, development, testing and evaluation of electrical, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and deployment of intelligence collection systems. Peraton operates in a fast paced environment that is managed and controlled by us, the contractor. Support will span all aspects of the systems engineering life-cycle, including concept of operations planning, requirements development, analyses of alternatives, modeling, independent verification and validation, and deployment. Candidates will be aligned to one or more projects based on assessing their career aspirations and best fit for the program and for success. Our engineers are system engineers and integrators, responsible for ensuring mission success by integrating across all systems and capabilities, with a focus on improving overall enterprise effectiveness, efficiency, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs systems engineering and integration activities.
  • Works closely with mid-level and senior engineers and the Government in any of a variety of disciplines, including strategic planning, architecture and requirements definition, modeling and performance analysis, schedule analysis, analyses of alternatives, trade studies, systems/service integration, independent verification and validation, enterprise transition planning, project management, and system/service deployment.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical or scientific fields, such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, computer science, information technology, management information systems, or related STEM degree program and 0-2 years of experience.
    • May/June 2025 grads are welcome and encouraged to apply.
  • Strong foundational knowledge working with systems.
  • Willingness to learn and become an effective team member.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3.0 and above GPA.
  • Demonstrated experience with the systems engineering life-cycle.
  • Previous hands-on experience through coursework or internships. 

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
