United States Forces Korea J6 is looking for a experience Spectrum Managers whose perspectives and contributions will be key to our continued success.


The Spectrum Manager will provide new ideas and be able to adapt to a team atmosphere. The international assignment at USFK/JFMO provides experiences that most spectrum mangers will never obtain from a stateside assignment. You will be recognized as the technical expert that provides guidance, timelines, and residence authorizations for U.S service components.


Key requirements that a candidate must have and be able to demonstrate are:

  • Having experience with Spectrum 21 software tools.
  • Having experience with the Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO)
  • Being familiar with the Standard Frequency Action Format (SFAF)
  • Being familiar with the Application for Foreign Spectrum Support (DD-1494)
  • Receive (OJT) with PR-200 Directional Finding equipment.
  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (IT), or 7 years or more of similar training and/or experience in Spectrum Management
  • Graduate of either U.S. DoD military frequency management school; Inter-service Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) at Keesler AFB, MS or the Advanced Communications Course at Quantico, VA or the Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager
    Course, Ft Gordon, GA.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Invited Contractor status under the ROK/US Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) 
  • Active Secret clearance SSBI with ability to obtain/maintain a TS security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
