Program Overview
About The Role

Are you ready to make a significant impact on human spaceflight? Peraton is seeking Configuration Management Professionals (Multiple levels/Multiple openings) to support our dynamic team, ensuring smooth operations and seamless configuration of critical communications services used on NASA networks. As a member of the program team, you’ll play a crucial role in the installation, configuration, optimization, and testing of these services, working closely with various engineering teams and the program manager to drive success. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Supports configuration audits to ensure compliance to the published baseline, addressing TRs, CCRs, DRs, documentation, release notes, and delivery media, documenting differences as DRs per program requirements.  
  • Uses CM tools (ECMT for operations, Git, Jira, Insight for factory and support); and configuration auditing scripts to monitor changes to operating systems, software, configuration setting, GFP, COTS and GOTS products, applications, and firmware. 
  • Develops document and drawing trees. 
  • Supports creation and delivery of CDRLs, completed reports, change requests, and document under configuration control as described in the applicable CM procedures. 
  • Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. 
  • Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. 
  • Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Level 1: BS/BA with 3-9 years exp or MS/MA with 0-2; Level 2: BS/BA with 7-12 years exp or MS/MA with 3-5 years exp or PhD with 0-2 years exp. 
  • Ability to obtain security clearance (up to TS/SCI) or background investigation as required. 
  • Experience working with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Insight, Confluence, Risk Register, Crucible, etc. OR experience working with configuration management systems 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other productivity tools. 
  • Current NASA certification or ability to obtain related to position, as required. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with NASA or DoD customers  
  • Previous experience in human spaceflight mission full life cycle activities 

 

Security Clearance:  

This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a clearance (up to TS/SCI) as required. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
