Responsibilities
The Curriculum Developer Technical Trainer will be responsible for the following:
- Design and deliver programs to train all levels of personnel. Develop tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- Formulate teaching outline in conformance with selected instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such training methods as individual coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
- Responsible for deployment of e-learning programs. Confers with management, employees, and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
- Identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments; conveys and works with Curriculum Developers as well as Trainers to build, revise and test training modules.
- Select or develop teaching aids such as training guides, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Facilitate the execution of all training programs.
- Travel may be up to 25%.
- This position is 100% remote.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years work experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA
- 3+ years of experience in delivering and/or developing training programs in support of the Federal Investigative Standards for government background investigations
- Tier 5 SSBI favorably adjudicated clearance eligibility
- 3+ years of experience using learning and development methods and adult learning theories
- 3+ years of experience using a LMS as an instructor, including testing, user management and training
- 5+ years using Microsoft Office suite
- Experience training on multiple contracts utilizing National Training Standards, including but not limited to DHS and Intelligence programs
- US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exemplary communication skills required: written, visual, verbal, presentation
- Experience instructing multi-week classes in a virtual environment
- Experience administering a LMS to include defining user roles and Ad Hoc Report building/generation
- Experience in Project Management
- Ability to multi-task and self-manage workloads and projects with a strong attention to detail
- 5+ years of experience in delivering and/or developing training programs in support of the Federal Investigative Standards for government background investigations
Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
