Responsibilities
We are hiring a Cyber Patching Administrator in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
What you'll do:
- Responsible for maintenance and operation of patching services utilizing multiple platforms and tools.
- Ensure that patch activities for servers and workstations are compliant for enterprise systems.
- Design, support, maintenance, and distribution of patching packages tailored for maximum successful implementation and minimization of issues across affected systems.
- Responsible for the support of integration, installation, testing, evaluation, documentation and verification activities of end-to-end patching systems and applications through their entire life cycle.
- Execution and refinement of installation processes and development of step by step procedures both for patching team use and which can be passed on to customers.
- Support of testing procedures and documentation in support of and in preparation for distribution across global enterprise production environment.
- Develop standards, practices, and test procedures to verify system requirements and verification of operability.
- Verify system documentation against the actual execution of procedures and reports inconsistencies back to department lead for corrections.
- Participation in design reviews to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
- Create and execute procedures to verify and validate enhancement and defect fixes to the system.
- Follows and refines testing practices, policies, and procedures to best optimize the overall system verification process.
- Security process continual improvement collaboration, documentation, review, and management
- Review of system vulnerability and STIG reports for compliance management
- Security process tracking, documentation, and periodic recurring report management
- Risk Management Framework required documentation support
- eMASS package support to include Plan of Action and Milestones management
- Other security department and leadership project support
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- CompTIA Security+
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- IT experience 4+ years
- Experience with task coordination and management
Desired experience:
- Preferred but not required: BS Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or solid IA background
2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree
Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
