Responsibilities
As our Cyber Systems Engineer, Senior Advisor you will have the opportunity to:
- Monitor, analyze, and detect cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
- Assist with integrated, dynamic cyber defense, coordinates and maintains security tool-sets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.
- Establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace.
- Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
- Implement security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
- Verify security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
- Maintain security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
- Be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
- Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
- Work with the current cloud software development team in documenting software and system architectures, cloud architectures, policies, and procedures
- Guide the software development team in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software within the cloud environment
- Work with the engineering and development teams to evaluate and determine the best cloud options.
- Ensure that data processing and storage operations are done effectively and in compliance with corporate security guidelines.
- Interact with all stakeholders and customer product owner, giving cloud support, and delivering guidance in accordance with customer needs.
- Work with current cloud software engineers to create and maintain Architecture diagrams documenting the cloud infrastructure and system designs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph
- Experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework in building and deployment software in the AWSenvironment.

Target Salary Range
$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
