Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Cyberspace Joint Operations Planner to join our USCYBERCOM team located in Fort Meade, MD.

 

In this role you will:

  • Act as a full participant and provide substantive contributions to JPGs and OPG/OPTs developing and integrating cyber capabilities into plans, and in support of Combatant Commander planning efforts.
  • Fully participate and provide substantive contributions to cyberspace operations planning activities coordination through the IJSTO to include Evaluation Request and Response Messages, SAP procedures, and the RAPCO.
  • Serve as a technical expert of all planning methodologies and applications in all phases of military operations, providing analytical expertise and expert knowledge of operational design, Joint Operation Planning, and APEX.
  • Conduct joint operations planning in support of combat and contingency operations without supervision.
  • Provide technical expertise and participates in all phases and steps of the JPP and APEX activities.
  • Provide significant contribution to the development of cyberspace operations plans, contingency plans, CONOPs, and orders

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum five years of experience as a Joint Operations Planner and a complete working knowledge of the JPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats and guidance
  • Minimum specialized education in military joint operations planning through the Joint Professional Military Education Phase II (JPME II) from a CJCS accredited joint education program listed in CJCSI 1800.01E. The JIOPC, or other similar military operations planning courses, may be substituted for JPME II.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Four years of planning experience may be substituted with completion of an advanced Service planner school (School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS), Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), etc.).
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • An active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in assisting the conduct of cyberspace operations and defense of the DOD Information Network (DODIN) by providing technical expertise for the identification, development and prioritization of cyberspace operations assessment requirements, processes, procedures, and governing directives.
  • Experience researching and collecting information from various sources and analyzing it for better understanding of cyberspace operations assessment frameworks and methodologies.
  • Application of data-mining techniques, statistical analysis, and building of high-quality prediction systems.
  • Identification of issues and priorities affecting assessment of planned or on-going cyberspace operations.
  • Assessment or development of assessment frameworks, methodologies, and capabilities to validate cyberspace operations assessment requirements.
  • Collaboration with internal and external partners to facilitate cyberspace operations assessment situational awareness and information sharing.
  • Selecting features, building and optimization of classifiers using machine learning techniques.
  • Experience conducting data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
  • Enhancing data collection procedures to identify information relevant for building analytic systems.
  • Analysis of proposed capabilities, recommends courses of action, and develops solutions to address areas of concern for shortfalls.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
