Peraton is seeking a Cyber Security Support Engineer to enhance the operational capabilities of the Active Defense threat hunt team. Location:  Fort Eisenhower, GA. 

This role is dedicated to crafting and maintaining a robust architecture that facilitates advanced threat hunting and provides a comprehensive operational picture for leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and strong competencies in automation and data visualization technologies.

Key duties include:

• Construct and maintain an architectural framework that supports the Threat Hunt team’s data-centric operations, aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK enterprise matrix.
• Develop sophisticated data models that streamline the threat hunting process and enhance data processing efficiency.
• Implement a range of automation tools to optimize data handling and processing within the team.
• Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to present complex data sets in an accessible and understandable manner.
• Apply cybersecurity principles to develop and refine data-driven strategies for threat hunting.
• Continually evolve the support architecture to address new and emerging data challenges in the cybersecurity landscape.

Required:

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA or a minimum 6 years with MS/MA.  Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Will consider HS + 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• In-depth understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its application in a data-focused cyber environment.
• Strong background in creating and managing automation solutions to improve data operations in cybersecurity.
• Expertise in data visualization, capable of transforming complex data into meaningful insights.
• Proficient in the use of a variety of technologies to enhance data workflows and collaboration in a defense environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach, suitable for complex data engineering tasks in cybersecurity.
• Requires IAT Level II certification. Must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• US Citizenship required
• DoD TS SCI w/Poly OR TS/SCI with the ability to obtain Poly.

Desired:

• Certifications or demonstrable skills in automation and data visualization are highly desirable.
