Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring a Deputy Virtualization Manager at USSTRATCOM - Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
What you will do:
- Manages team that provides technical assistance to computer system and network users. May also have oversight for a data center.
- Provides 24/7 technical support for computers and associated networks.
- Implements policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected
- Ensures maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet Service Level Agreements.
- Helps lead the Virtualization and Storage Support (VSS) team by managing the personnel and activities of the team.
- Co-lead for all VSS contract support activities to include acting as the Virtualization Lead when they are unavailable or not present.
- Responsible for formulating and ensuring work standards, assigning schedules, reviewing work performance, identifying personnel discrepancies, supervising personnel assigned and administering corrective actions.
- Communicates and enforces policies, purposes and goals of contract performance.
- Plans and supervises projects and/or tasks for the team.
- Demonstrates capability for oral and written communication with all levels of management.
- Meets with customer representatives and user communities to formulate and review plans and deliverable items.
- Ensures conformance with schedules and costs.
- Defining status and metrics reports with the assistance of Virtualization Manager (VM, Deputy Virtualization Technologist (DVT), Cyber Security, and Systems Engineering and Integration.
- The VM, assisted by the DVM and DVT as an integrated team, works with the Deputy Program Manager (DPM), Program Manager (PM) and Government COR’s to prioritize operational activities in alignment with mission objectives, taking into consideration: Contract performance and standards,
- Program/Contract office guidance and policies, and best practices and lessons-learned at other employment.
Qualifications
What you will need:
Experience/Educational Requirements
- 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
- Background in processes and services being support
- Knowledge of government processes, management and security
- Contract management training, requirements and deliverables
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Desired Certifications
- Bachelor degree, applicable industry certifications and DOD experience
- VMware VCP – Data Center Administration
- CompTIA Security+
Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
