Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer. This qualified individual will drive automation of infrastructure, continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, service pipelines, flow architectures,  and improve access to CFTC infrastructure services. Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets. Every day, our employees do the can’t be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers. This is a remote position.

 

What you will do:

  • Implement DevSecOps practices using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure successful CI/CD pipeline implementation
  • Maintain a strong security first mindset throughout the development process
  • Experience creating backups and managing disaster recovery
  • Experience maintaining access control and the integrity of data throughout the platform
  • Designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies systems and systems-oriented products.
  • Gathers information concerning the capabilities of company products, investigates the technical capabilities of company products and competing equipment and/or solutions
  • Stays abreast of developments in hardware and software;
  • Analyzes customer problems; assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs.
  • Coordinates resolution of product/service issues, upgrades, and problems.
  • Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.
  • Provides supervision of the customer installation of hardware and software.
  • Conducts system calibrations after the hardware and software are installed.
  • Provides technical guidance to management on changing trends and emerging products in the industry with the view to further improve existing technology and its application.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum 5 years experience. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Experience in AWS and  or Azure.
  • Experience providing DevSecOps implementation using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with  CI/CD pipelines,
  • Experience with software build process
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance (Public Trust).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Federal or Government contracting and consulting experience is a plus.
  • AWS or Azure Devops certifications.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
