Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of IT Account Business Management to lead strategic business and financial operations across a high-visibility account. This Director-level position will oversee a team of ~16 professionals and will serve as a trusted advisor and key partner to executive leadership, driving financial performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This position is on-site in San Diego, CA. . 

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead pricing strategies for new and evolving service offerings; develop competitive, cost-effective proposals; and drive financial negotiations with the client.
  • Business Management & Governance: Serve as the financial controller for the account, ensuring adherence to sound fiscal policies, audit readiness, and strong internal controls.
  • Executive Advisory: Provide strategic counsel to account and organizational leadership, leveraging deep business insight to guide critical decision-making.
  • Client & Vendor Engagement: Oversee client invoicing, contract alignment, and vendor/subcontractor management, ensuring service delivery and contractual compliance.
  • Cloud FinOps & IT Asset Optimization: Lead financial operations in cloud environments (Cloud FinOps), and oversee full lifecycle management of hardware and software assets.
  • Procurement Strategy: Direct procurement and sourcing initiatives, including deal negotiation, vendor consolidation, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Operational Excellence: Evaluate and approve all internal technology and service purchases, ensuring alignment with technical strategy and financial objectives.
  • Performance Management: Drive the account to meet or exceed financial targets and lead key strategic initiatives, including cost savings programs, large-scale renewals, and audit support.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 16 years of relevant professional experience
  • At least 7 years in IT financial management roles
  • Minimum of 5 years leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Proven experience in contract and vendor management
  • Demonstrated expertise in pricing, financial modeling, and service negotiations
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and act on large data sets
  • Experience collaborating with IT architects and solution leads on costing, pricing, and ROI assessments
  • Strong negotiation skills with both customers and suppliers

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
