Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Endpoint Security Senior Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) Program, for the US Coast Guard (CG). This initiative is modernizing and consolidating the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CGs customers.
Location: Hybrid role. Requires 2 days on-site in Alexandria, VA.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain endpoint security solutions using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Trellix, ACAS, and Tanium technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage endpoint security infrastructure across the organization.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses and security gaps.
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents, responding promptly to mitigate threats and ensure minimal impact on business operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to endpoint security tools and configurations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field of endpoint security and cybersecurity.
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior members of the security team.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 10 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required; Must have a minimum of a Secret clearance (or higher).
- Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing endpoint security solutions.
- Expertise in utilizing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Trellix, ACAS, orTanium technologies to secure endpoints and prevent cyber threats.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, protocols, and frameworks.
- Proficient in scripting and automation for security-related tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or government contracts is preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are a plus.
Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
