About The Role

Peraton is seeking an Enterprise Services Engineer specializing in Microsoft Azure focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level IT infrastructure and services, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and performant, often involving data management, and collaborating with various teams to meet business needs. An ESE is a hands-on technical expert who serves enterprise environment’s clients, providing both remote and on-site support to maintain and optimize the enterprise infrastructure, focusing on customer-specific outcomes in operations, risk, compliance, asset, and security.

 

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Ability to design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud solutions for enterprise clients, focusing on Azure services, infrastructure, interoperability, and security to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure hybrid cloud environment
  • Provie technical expertise by possessing strong technical skills in systems administration, troubleshooting, and IT consulting, with a focus on the enterprise’s infrastructure, systems, networks, and security. 
  • Ability to problem solve identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex technical issues, both independently and collaboratively. 
  • Client focus work closely with the client to understand their needs and ensure they are achieving their desired outcomes within their enterprise infrastructure, systems, networks, and security.  
  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, both internally and externally. 
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team-based environment, collaborating with Technical Account Managers and other enterprise engineers. 
  • Responsible for documenting best practices, procedures, and knowledge base entries for the enterprise.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of enterprise technology, infrastructure, systems, networks, and security. 
  • Provide both on-site support to clients at multiple locations, ensuring the smooth operation of the enterprise. 
  • Ability to engineer solutions for the enterprise’s infrastructure, systems, networks, and security to ensure its stability and performance. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities for clients to gain greater value from their enterprise environment. 
  • Play a role in ensuring that customers are meeting their risk and compliance requirements with respect to their enterprise’s infrastructure, systems, networks, and security. 
  • Contribute to the effective management of IT assets within the client environment.

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA: Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; additional 4+ years in lieu of degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint metadata, application data fields, Active Directory, Exchange, Databases, and other systems and services
  • Understanding of both physical and virtual infrastructure hosting one or more Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, and/or AIX systems
  • Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification (i.e., CASP)

Desired:

  • ITIL Foundations certification desired

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
