Hardware Engineering, Associate

Peraton is hiring a Hardware Engineering, Associate to work at USSTRATCOM/J6 at Offutt AFB.

What you will do: 

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair, network testing, and authorized OEM hardware maintenance
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain operation of computer CPUs, high and medium resolution RGB video distribution systems, and various types of laser and inkjet printers
• Understand, troubleshoot, train and maintain computer systems test equipment. 
• Possess a basic knowledge of interfaces and signaling protocols (USB, PCMI, Network Interface Cards, etc.)
• Assist in receiving, warehousing, staging, inspection, and disposition of equipment and spare parts
• Complete purchase requests for needed spare parts
• Provide basic user orientation for any new hardware installations
• Monitor server room environment including temperature, humidity, lighting, and power issues.
• Maintain working relationship with multiple vendors for online maintenance agreements
• Carry a pager or cell phone and respond to after-hour emergencies per on-call schedule

What you will need:

• 0 years with a BS/BA or 4 years of related work experience in lieu of degree
• 1+ years of experience as an IT Hardware Technician 
• 1+ years of experience in a help desk environment
• 1+ year of installing/configuring/troubleshooting PCs and peripherals
• 1+ year of experience Configuring PCs for Multiple View monitor configuration
• TS/SCI security clearance is required
