Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking a Knowledge Manager to become a part of the Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Directorate of Cyber and Technology Security, Office of Technology Innovation and Engineering, (DS/CTS/TIE). 

 

Location: Remote, with the ability to travel to the Washington, DC Area. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

The Knowledge Manager will oversee and manage knowledge stores for a variety of Government documents, including MOUs, technical documents, templates, and whitepapers. This role involves the development and maintenance of reports, graphics, presentations, and system engineering life-cycle documentation such as Concept of Operations (ConOps), data diagrams, whitepapers, process flows, and customer technical roadmaps. The individual will work closely with senior stakeholders to create and implement communication plans and produce outputs such as printed materials, web/portal content, and technical guides. The Knowledge Manager will manage access to knowledge stores, ensure alignment with Department of State (DoS) standards and processes, and develop tracking systems for continuous process improvement. The candidate will also leverage platforms like SharePoint and ServiceNow, optimizing data organization and process flow, and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration. 

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation in alignment with system engineering life-cycle requirements, including ConOps, process flows, data diagrams, whitepapers, and technical roadmaps. 
  • Manage and organize knowledge stores while overseeing access controls and permissions. 
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to produce effective communication strategies and materials. 
  • Ensure the delivery of outputs across multiple formats, including printed materials, web/portal presence, and technical guides. 
  • Create and maintain knowledge management systems, ensuring proper integration with platforms like SharePoint and ServiceNow. 
  • Track, monitor, and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and information sharing. 
  • Provide training and guidance on knowledge management best practices.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Possess at least ONE of the following certifications:
    • CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CHFI, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CND, CySA+, GCED, GCIH, GICSP, SSCP
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Knowledge Management. 
  • Demonstrated strong technical writing skills with experience creating various types of reports, presentations, and system engineering documentation. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. 
  • Understanding of Department of State standards and processes. 
  • Experience with knowledge stores such as SharePoint, ServiceNow, and other document management platforms. 
  • Experience managing access controls and permissions in knowledge management systems. 
  • U.S. Citizenship is required. 
  • Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance with SCI. 

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
