Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an of M365 Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This individual will support the effort of operating, optimizing and maintaining the existing and new Microsoft 365 services.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Provide troubleshooting for any issues with the M365 environment and act as the primary service administrators for enabled services, i.e., Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.
- Plan future service sustainment strategies and activities for Microsoft M365 applications including but not limited to Bookings, Delve, Exchange Online, Forms, OneDrive, Office Web Apps, Planner, PowerApps, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Shifts, Streams, Teams, Viva Insights, and Whiteboard, Azure Active Directory Premium 2, Azure Information Protection Premium 2, Azure Rights Management, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Could Apps, Defender for Identity and In Tune, as well as additional Microsoft 365 Services.
- Support the TSA Electronic Identification (EID) Engineering and Ops Teams, ICAM, SOC, and eDiscovery teams with maintenance; product updates; licensing maintenance; mobile integration; compliance management; health monitoring; and SOP development, implementation and maintenance
- Implement advanced functions of O365 including administration, security, governance and compliance (Data Loss Protection, Information Rights Management, Mobile Device Management, E-Discovery, In-Place Hold, Retention Tags, and Encryption)
- Migrate large enterprise user populations (>45,000 named users)
- Archive through PST, Exchange online archiving and other Commercial tools or services
- Design and implement Microsoft Office 365 (O365) Services hosted within O365
- Migrate emails from Exchange on-premise/hosted to Exchange online within O365 through various migration methods (Cutover, Staged, Hybrid)
- Connect O365, hosted Exchange Services and Active Directory integration

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree and 5 years’ experience or Associate degree and 7 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years' experience
- U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
- Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator required
- Knowledge of Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). Azure Active Directory (AAD) AAD Connect, Azure AD Sync, or Azure
- Knowledge of Office 365 services to include Exchange Online, Teams, Skype for Business Online, OneDrive for Business
- SharePoint Online, and Power Apps/Automations
- Experience with PowerShell, PowerShell Workflow and troubleshooting PowerShell ISE
- Experience with server virtualization, storage, and networking
- Knowledge of IT security risks
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification
Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
