Program Overview
Provide warfighters with reliable strike planning and execution tools for Theater Missile Programs while modernizing and expanding beyond Tomahawk missiles. Our work includes developing and maintaining proprietary software, offering full lifecycle support from design to deployment, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a network security administrator who will work as part of the Information Technology team on the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program, part of the Navy's Tomahawk Missile program. You will be part of a motivated team that is responsible for optimizing and securing the network environment. This role will be located in Santa Clara, CA and requires onsite work.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our network infrastructure. This role will involve working closely with other IT professionals and departments to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. The Network Security Administrator is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves provisioning, deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering all network equipment and network security-related hardware and software. The Network Security Administrator will implement, review, and test security measures to protect the networks from cyber-attacks, hacking attacks, intrusion, infiltration, and natural disasters. This position requires collaboration with various departments to maintain a secure and efficient network environment.

 

What you'll do:

  • Secure, maintain and optimize Cisco ISE, switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Secure and maintain the network infrastructure per Department of Defense security technical implementation guides
  • Ensure the network meets the Department of Defense Comply to Connect framework
  • Monitor network infrastructure, troubleshoot, and handle incidents actively during company business hours.
  • Analyze potential changes and enhancements to network software and hardware to determine impact on existing production environment.
Qualifications

What you’ll need:

  • 2 years with BS/BA, 0 years with MS/MA, 6 years no degree
  • Hands-on and In-depth knowledge of network hardware and software technologies and best practices is required. 
  • Knowledge of Routing and Switching
  • LAN switching including VLAN, VTP, STP, etc. is preferred.
  • Understanding and practical experience with Cisco ISE (1-2 years)
  • Experience with 802.1X Authentication and Optimization
  • Routing experience with BGP
  • Experience with SIPR networks, Cyber Command Readiness Inspections/CORA is desirable

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
