Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking talented Program Financial Analyst to become part of Peraton’s US Army Africa Mission Support program, which works to serve and protect US Army forces operating and training in Africa.

 

Location: This position will be located in Vicenza, Italy.

 

The Program Financial Analyst provides financial budgeting, analysis, and evaluation support for government funds associated with the Defense Travel System (DTS).  In this role, you will support the financial process for a Department of Defense agency serving and protecting US Army personnel operating in austere and challenging locations.

 

What you’ll do:

You will provide subject matter expertise (SME) in all phases and methods of budgeting, analysis and evaluation of programs and issues related to the Defense Travel System (DTS) and is generally subject only to administrative and policy direction concerning overall project priorities and objectives.

  • Assist in development of program plans and program accomplishments to produce reliable budgetary and managerial data and makes recommendations to the SETAF-AF Comptroller and Deputy Comptroller.
  • Prepare documentation to support administration of the budgetary management system, administratively assisting in the development of plans and policies to implement the Comptroller and higher headquarters directives for budget functions.
  • Provide support for all aspects of budget justification, formulation, and forecasting.
  • Conduct analysis and provide advice and recommendations for budget formulation, including preparing/reviewing substantive issue papers.
  • Assist in developing a mutually acceptable project plan which typically includes identification of resources available and proposed deadlines for completion.
  • Provide support by utilizing their technical knowledge to streamline complex processes into simplified procedures while adhering to DoD laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Provide support for the reconciliation of undisbursed obligations.
  • Provide fiscal discipline and authority as supported documentation and approval is needed before any funding can be de-obligated or reconciled.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in accounting, financial management, data analytics, information management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience and at least one year of recent experience with GFEBS and DTS.
  • Experience with financial modifications, invoicing, and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of applications in a computerized environment, including spreadsheet applications and data bases (e.g. Excel, Access, Power Point).
  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Must possess an active Secret Security clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in accounting, financial management, data analytics, information management.
  • 8 years of experience in US Army accounting and financial management.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • US Army 36B NCO (SGT - SFC) or US Army Junior Finance Officer (LT - CPT)

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
