Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Program Security Officer supporting multiple complex contracts of varying security requirements with TS/SCI/SAP/CAP levels, position is primarily based out of the Chantilly, VA location with several additional sites located in the Northern Viginia area.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform and coordinate security activities for SCI/SAP/CAP contracts and business development activities.
  • Interpret, develop, and implement SCI and SAP security policies.
  • Interface daily with contract performers and Government Representatives.
  • Develop and conduct security-related briefings and training required by Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and for specific Government Customers.
  • Assist in preparation for and participate in Government compliance inspections; Assist other Peraton locations in self-assessments and preparation for inspections.
  • Coordinate visitor management, meeting support, and VAR submissions.
  • Carry out personnel security functions including reciprocity requests, initial cases, periodic reinvestigations, indoctrinations, polygraph requests, and debriefings in accordance with varied IC Customer requirements.
  • Process, track and prioritize PAR packages in coordination with program management and our mission partners.
  • Assist in incident investigations and prepare reports as directed by the customer.
  • Update databases, intelligence files and other required documents.
  • Support COMSEC accountability and inspections.
  • Escort authorized visitors and provide physical security guidance.
  • Physically respond to sites after-hours in response to alarm notifications.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree and 5+ years of equivalent security experience or 3+ years of experience with a Masters Degree, to include 1-3+ years of security administration and work experience in the SCI environment.
  • Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 
  • 3+ years of experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include Intelligence Community Directives and OPSEC principles.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with poly. 
  • Self-driven and results oriented, capable of effectively working multiples tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
  • 3+ years of experience as an FSO and working with the Department of Defense policies and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to prepare DD254s.
  • Proficient with DISS, SIMS, Scattered Castles, JADE, and Talon.
  • Multi-disciplined security knowledge NISPOM, DCID, and ICDs, DoD Manuals.
  • Current DSS Facility Security Officer Certification from CDSE. 
  • Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
