Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide oversight and functions as the main point of contact for multiple concurrent projects.
- Interface with the customer and project team (software developers, operations, security, deployment, Testers) to define requirements.
- Obtain approval for project activities through the configuration control board (CCB).
- Work with the project team to define project tasks and schedules and obtains stakeholder buy-in.
- Ensure project solution meets requirements and customer priorities
- Conduct project meetings, create project documentation
- Monitor project progress continuously, regularly updating project schedules and documentation
- Prepare detailed status reports on project activities, milestones, and deliverables
- Assess project risks and issues.
- Develop mitigations to ensure productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives are met
- Provide regular status updates to program management.
- Brief project status to program team and customer bi-weekly.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
- Experience defining and documenting requirements.
- Ability to identify risks and process improvement opportunities to add value to the projects managed.
- In-depth understanding of Project Management practices and the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to cultivate close working relationships with customers, project team members, leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency with software tools required for development and maintenance of project plans and documentation (Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint).
- Experience leading project teams.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile Methodologies.
- Experience developing program or project strategy, business cases, and enterprise-wide program/project plans.
- Experience managing cross-divisional, and cross-functional software development programs/projects.
- Active Public Trust, Interim Secret, or Secret clearance.
Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
