Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager (QAM), that is intimately familiar with USSTRATCOM which is a Combatant Command. The QAM will lead a team in to rapidly develop and deploy innovative solutions on a resilient global network & will work onsite in Bellevue, Nebraska.  

 

The QAM will serve as the lead for ensuring quality of work performed under this TO meets the customer expectations and objectives. The QAM works in coordination with the IT Management Office (ITMO) to provide timely acknowledgement and coordination of requests, problem identification, root cause analysis, escalation, resolution, and closure for all issues. The QAM will provide support in business planning and implement new strategic initiatives to improve business processes. The QAM needs to understand customer needs, help to define prioritization and sequencing, and lead activities. The QAM will lead key discussions from both business and technical perspectives.

 

QAM Roles and Responsibilities:

 

QAM is accountable to the Program Manager and is responsible for customer satisfaction of users supporting mission execution across Enterprise. Duties include, but are not limited to, tracking and measuring the successful delivery of capabilities and services to the enterprise, within all required performance metrics; and, providing direct input to the PM in support of monthly status and program reviews

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Provide support in business planning
  • Implement new, strategic initiatives to improve engineering processes and business processes
  • Serve as the lead for ensuring the quality of work performed meets customer needs, expectations, and objectives
  • Work in coordination with the COR, TPOC, and CO to provide timely acknowledgement and coordination of requests, problem identification, root cause analysis, escalation, resolution, and closure for all issues. 
  • Serve as the primary POC in the Contractor PMO for an understanding of customer and stakeholder current and upcoming needs across the program and task areas,
  • Define the prioritization and sequencing of quality management initiatives & lead the execution of those activities
  • Own and lead discussions from both business and technical perspectives
  • Lead the contractor’s internal Governance processes to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that performance SLAs and AQL quality measurements are achieved 100% of the time in the delivery of engineering, architectural, and technical changes released into the production enclaves
  • Collaborate with all J6 / Government service owner leads and stakeholders in project planning to establish quality metrics and review milestones, in addition to budget and schedule metrics
  • Oversee testing in the ‘digital twin’ environment for compliance with established quality metrics
  • Lead a Continual Process Improvement program, for the continual evaluation of existing engineering and business processes and delivery outcomes compared to expected results; identifies and facilitates the implementation of all process improvements
Qualifications

12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience

 

What you'll need: 

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active TS/SCI
  • ITILv4 Foundation certification or within 90 days of hire. 
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience implementing and managing process improvements or automations within an IT environment.
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a quality manager leading large teams
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience implementing and managing continuous process improvements (CPIs), including automation, within an IT environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • One or more Industry certifications in Quality Management (e.g., American Society for Quality (ASQ), Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science
  • ITIL Expert / Managing Professional certification
  • Agile certification (e.g., SAFe™, Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge and experience with statistical methods and tools (e.g., Minitab)
  • ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy)

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
