Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a software quality assurance process analyst who will work as part of the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program, part of the Navy’s Tomahawk Missile program. This role will have the opportunity to work both on and offsite(hybrid).
Peraton develops several TMPC applications, providing support for tactical and training operations. Functions provided by these applications include mission planning; data distribution; strike planning, rehearsal, and coordination; strike execution, monitoring, and control; strike reporting; and communications configuration and data management/delivery.
What you'll do:
- Conduct process quality assurance to ensure compliance to organizational processes and best practices.
- Conduct process and product audits, reviews, and assessments.
- Develop and maintain auditing procedures and audit checklists.
- Perform document evaluations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and formatting guidelines.
- Collect, compile, and analyze information from the software development teams to determine compliance to project documentation and quality standards; prepare reports of findings for program management, project management, and development teams.
- Document corrective action plans and track to closure.
- Identify and document improvement opportunities and track to closure.
- Develop and maintain the risk management process, ensuring that leadership is identifying, monitoring, and tracking risks.
- Collect and analyze various measures and metrics and report findings to leadership and team.
- Act as the lead resource to all team members for the Quality Program and provide training.
- Monitor formal demonstrations with the customer at the Santa Clara facility.
- Drive and contribute to the evolution of the QA policies and procedures.
Qualifications
What you'll need:
- Education: 2 years with BS/BA or a HS Degree and 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- 2 years software process QA, software testing, or software development experience
- Clearance: An active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology and ceremonies
- Experience working with audit teams for formal assessments
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Ability to interface with external and internal customers
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
- Strong writing and oral communication skills
- Effective leadership skills
- Ability to prepare and present reports to all levels of management
- Basic computer skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The following knowledge and experience are a plus:
- Knowledge of CMMI model
- Active Secret Clearance
Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
