Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will lead the cloud strategy and consumption best practices for the program, providing day-to-day support for the Governmentt's infrastructure public and private cloud services.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement hybrid cloud strategies, leveraging public and private cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, VMware).
- Utilize hands-on experience in cloud operations to create and use automation and orchestration for cloud service environments.
- Educate customers on cloud consumption principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure adherence to cloud computing best practices.
- Build and maintain customer relationships, communicating commercial cloud consumption best practices.
- Support day-to-day operational incident, change, and problem management cases in collaboration with engineering and architecture teams.
- Work with service architects, USCG Tech Warrant Holders, engineering, and infrastructure teams to influence and improve cloud design strategies.
- Interface with software vendors for support.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering and minimum of 12 years experience or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering and minimum of 10 years experience or minimum of 7 years experience with Ph.d.
- ITIL v3 and/or ITIL 4 Foundation to align with the latest version of DESMF
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure equivalent
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Azure equivalent
- 10 years of experience implementing enterprise-wide cloud programs of similar scope and complexity – including familiarity with Cloud Access Point (CAP) architectures and using Hybrid Multi Cloud
- 5 years of experience in cloud service design and architecture and Agile methodologies
- 5 years of experience with the DOD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC- SRG) and the DISA Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA)
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with customer senior leadership
- Familiarity with DODAF reference architecture, viewpoints, and models
- Familiarity with DOD IT security requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified TBM Executive (CTBME) - must be willing to obtain within six months
Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
