Responsibilities

 

Peraton is adding or looking for a Data Analyst. This qualified individual will support our CFTC contract and will join a team of high performer. This position is Hybrid. Must be local to the DC, MD, VA and Chicago area.

 

 What you will do: 

  • Analyze formal reporting requirements to identify specific data requirements.
  • Create technical guidance documents with data maps and conditions.
  • Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts required.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific XML data exchange message formats, including necessary modifications or extensions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and industry representatives to secure approval for technical guidance.
  • Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models.
  • Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
  • Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization.
  • Hands-on modeling, design, work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
  • Derivative markets knowledge with Futures, Options and Swaps products and exchanges.
  • Experience/Knowledge in AWS cloud tools
  • Experience in Redshift data warehouse service
  • Experience/Knowledge of XML, FIXML, FPML
  • At least one (1) year of experience using:
    • SQL, PostgreSQL
    • Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server Management Studio.
    • SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Viya.
    • AWS, including QuickSight, Redshift, Sage Maker;
    • Python, including the following Python packages/libraries/modules:
    • Experience with data visualization using programming languages, (e.g. Python or R), or commercial tools (e.g. MicroStrategy, Tableau, JMP, or Amazon Web Services (AWS) QuickSight
  • Must be able to go onsite at least 2 days a week
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Public Trust Clearance is a plus
  •  SQL querying skills, SAS reporting skills is a plus
  • Financial Industry Certifications is a plus

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
