Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking to hire a Senior Manager of Tax Reporting and Compliance to join the corporate tax team. The role is primarily responsible for supporting the annual and quarterly US GAAP tax provision process and managing the federal income tax compliance.

 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Work collaboratively with the accounting, procurement, program management, and other teams within the organization to provide high quality tax reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze tax provision workpapers, including support for deferred tax balances, disclosures, uncertain tax position, provision to return analysis, and technical memos.
  • Assist with the preparation of current year and long-term cash tax planning, monitoring risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess proposed and enacted legislative changes for impacts on tax provision, effective tax rate, and other disclosures.
  • Manage federal income tax compliance with a third-party service provider.
  • Identify, develop, and capture efficiency improvements related to workpapers and processes leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and others.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax.
  • 12+ years of experience in tax accounting, preferably with some public accounting experience.
  • CPA license required.
  • US Citizenship.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong US GAAP background, including tax accounting and business combinations.
  • Experience with US federal and state income tax compliance.
  • Proficient in OneSource Tax Provision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and project management skills.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
