Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Program Finance Manager to manage the activities of our State & Local Operating Unit within our Citizen Security & Public Services Sector and be responsible for the program financial analysis on key programs. This will be a virtual position with occasional travel to key customer locations. The State & Local Senior Program Finance Manager partners with the Operating Unit Vice President and organizational leaders to maximize the financial performance of the portfolio and drive business growth. The Senior Program Finance Manager will lead and mentor a geographically dispersed team of Finance professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial planning & analysis, customer reporting and program cost control in state and federal government contract environment (Awards, Revenue, EBIT, AR, Backlog).
- Perform complex financial analysis of budgets needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program or programs.
- Develop and maintain reporting and analysis systems to guide the financial management of individual programs and contracts to achieve company objectives.
- Assess program performance and track the performance against program budgets.
- Act as a key technical expert on financial analysis issues.
- Coordinate, negotiate and resolve financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements.
- Establish and define program plan requirements for assigned work.
- Coordinate interdepartmental development of program plans and interface with vendors and customers as required.
- Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost objectives are met.
- Partner with OU line leadership and drive improvement on all key financial metrics.
- Compliance with Corporate financial policy and regulatory standards (GAAP, FAR, CAS, etc).
- Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) submissions and Revenue Recognition methodologies.
- Presentation of financial data to internal and external customers.
- Pricing strategy and cost proposal development support.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Prior experience in Program Finance and financial planning and analysis, supporting programs of substantial complexity.
- Prior experience in government contracting.
- Prior management experience.
- Understanding of Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Fiscal Management, Accounting Software, and financial Analysis Software.
- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, and procedures of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, administrative data control, scheduling, and team interface.
- Strong written, digital, and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment.
- Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize as needed.
- Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics, and safety.
- Decisions are guided by policy, procedures, and business plan.
- Ability to provide clear guidance to program teams on financial implications of decisions.
- Experience analyzing proposals.

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
