Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Senior Technical Writer to support Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER)’s Technical Warfare Center (TWC). Location: Fort Eisenhower, GA.

 

In this role, support the development of concepts and requirements for implementation of capabilities for full-spectrum Cyberspace operations for Department of Defense Information Network Operations (DoDIN), Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO), and Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO).


Tasks include:
• Perform research, reviews specifications, and consult with technical experts in the preparation, amendment, change, or revision of technical documents.
• Plan, draft, edit, and prepare a variety of technical publications such as Standard Operating Procedures and Policies, Requirements, Testing Plans, Technical Transition Plans, and Technical Statements of Work, Statements of Objectives, or Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans.
• Research, collect and organize information and prepare, in clear and concise language, technical documents such as functional descriptions, procedure manuals, service manuals, special reports, training materials, installation guides, system specifications, brochures, and related technical publications concerned with the design, test, production, installation, operation, and maintenance of software applications.
• Create business documents and processes which appropriately capture the organization’s intent for a targeted audience.
• Develop technical documentation formats and assure conformance to military standards and customer specifications while writing for both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Review material for proper grammatical usage, punctuation, format, spelling, style, order of presentation, clarity of meaning, consistency and compliance with organizational standards and requirements, to include Army Regulation 25-50.
• Maintain documents in approved repository that tracks revisions, dated milestones, letters of instruction, format, page counts, number of drawings and numeric designation, writer, etc.
• Utilize state-of-the-art desktop publishing software and other software/hardware to prepare technical documents.
• Check references to other publications for accuracy of titles, numbers, dates, and applicability of subject matter.
• Provide training and technical assistance to other team members in area of expertise.
• Develop process maps for the ARCYBER Enterprise, as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Information Systems, or related field and minimum of 8 Years, MA/MS minimum of 6 Years, minimum of 3 Years with PhD.  Will consider HS and minimum 12 Years of experience. 
  • Extensive experience using Visio, Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
  • Other Preferred Experience: Gabriel Nimbus (GN) or Cyber related.
  • Experience in a technical field working with hardware, software, and networks.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in technical writing and document editing in the technical field, such as engineering or computer and information technology.
  • TS/SCI with Poly and MEAD clearance.
  • U.S Citizenship required

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
