Responsibilities
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Enterprise IT infrastructure and legacy applications maintenance support to an IC customer.
The function areas include: Operations and Maintenance (O&M), legacy application/system mission
capability enhancements, infrastructure, security, web applications, metrics, compliance-related audit,
Service/Help Desk, procurement of hardware and software, and Disaster Recovery (DR). Enhancements
include bugfixes, improving the capabilities of and adding new functions to a legacy application.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud-based infrastructure using AWS services.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts to provision and manage AWS resources.
- Enable configuration management, ensuring consistent and secure deployments across various environments.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Continuously improve and optimize cloud infrastructure and configuration management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
- Include test scripts for automated performance testing during build, test, and deployment phases.
- Monitor AWS resource consumption and associated costs, implementing cost optimization strategies.
System Monitoring:
- Implement proactive monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and security compliance.
- Provide immediate notification and detailed communication in the event of system-wide outages or performance issues.
Security and Compliance:
- Leverage knowledge of NIST standards to maintain the APS security posture.
- Conduct regular security scans as part of the build processes.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement innovative approaches throughout the SDLC.
- Conduct performance testing and regression testing after major releases to ensure system stability.
- Utilize DevSecOps processes to enhance speed, agility, and reduce risks.
- Perform detailed analysis of proposed innovations to evaluate their benefits and feasibility.
**This position is contingent on contract award.**
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 6 years of Cloud Engineering experience.
- Must possess and maintain TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
- Experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of AWS core services such as EC2, R3, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and others.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, TypeScript, etc.)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and security best practices.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Professional certification(s) in AWS
- Preferred to have experience managing AWS environments.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, containerized application Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Proven track record of innovation and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Intelligence Community or Homeland Security or Law Enforcement IT and understanding of Counterterrorism mission support
Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
